HIGHWAY to Tech, Money and Skills

Making Russian Innovations Global

“Restructuring the economy,” “modernization,” and “diversification” have been strategic planning mantras for the last 10 years, and no longer inspire people’s trust. Today, Russian hi-tech products account for less than 2% of the world market. For many years, the government promoted large companies with state ownership without paying attention to the potential of so-called “hidden champions.”
The question arises: Do tech entrepreneurs need government support?
How do promising and competitive Russian companies conquer new markets? What else can the government give? How can support mechanisms be improved?
